She had immigrated im 1864; children Tenna, age 22, born in May 1878, employed as a servant; Phebe, age 19, born in March 1881, employed as a servant; Andrew Jr., age 16, born in September 1884, farm laborer; John, age 15, born in April 1885, farm laborer; «b»George«/b», age 12, born in May 1888, farm laborer; William, age 6, born in March 1894; and Carl H., age 3, born in February 1897. The children were all born in Illinois.

Funeral services for George Henry Blaase, 76, of Arcola, the father of Mrs. Lawrence (Lela) Fitzjarrald of Arthur, were conducted last Friday afternoon at Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola with Rev. Wesley Groff officiating. Burial followed in Bourbon Cemetery.
A retired Arcola farmer, Blaase died early Wednesday morning of last week (Jan. 27, 1965) at Decatur and Macon County Hospital, Decatur. He had been ill for four months.
He was born on August 26, 1888 near Garrett, the son of Andrew and Phoebe VonLanken Blaase. He married Mary Waters on December 21, 1910, at Bourbon, and she survives.
He had farmed in the Arcola, Arthur and Bourbon areas all his life. He moved into Arcola in 1949.
Other survivors include a son, Hoyt of Arcola; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Clements of Downey, California, Mrs. Wilma Beduhn of Lombard, and Mrs. Fitzjarrald; one brother, John of Arcola; one sister, Mrs. Phoebe Gilbreath of Virden; and four grandchildren.
